Product description

Acid Casein is produced by coagulation of protein from fresh low-fat cow’s milk, followed by mixing to normalize the indicators according to the customers' requirements and possible further grinding (for ground/milled casein).

Acid Casein is used in chemical, light, woodworking, pulp and paper, perfume and pharmaceutical industries. Due to its high absorbent properties, it has wide application in the production of waterproof paints, dyes,
lacquers, putties, self-leveling compounds, plastics, cosmetics, aluminium foil and others. Acid casein is also widely used in connection with its adhesive properties. Its use on modern labelling equipment guarantees high efficiency of gluing, even at a very high speed. It is also used as a binder in the production of glue paints, when gluing wood and paper products, artificial leather and fabrics. Casein paints can be applied to various surfaces, including wood and plasters. Casein can be used as a stabilizer / emulsifier in various emulsions.


  • Paint: Casein paint is a fast-drying, water-soluble medium usually used by artists.
  • Glue: Casein-based glues, formulated from casein, are popular for woodworking, as well as for aircraft. Casein glue is also used in transformer manufacturing (specifically transformer board) due to its oil permeability and by laminating fireproof doors and the labeling of bottles.
  • Plastics and fibre: Some kinds of plastics are based on casein. In particular, galalith is well known for use in buttons. Fiber can be made from extruded casein. Lanital is a fabric made from casein fiber.
  • Protein supplements: An attractive property of the casein molecule is its ability to form a gel or clot in the stomach, which makes it very efficient in nutrient supply.
  • Other: Casein-derived compounds are used in tooth remineralization products to stabilize amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and release the ACP onto tooth surfaces, where it can facilitate remineralization.

Storage and Shelf life:
To be stored under cool, dry conditions in well-ventilated premises. If stored under optimal conditions the quality is stable up to 24 months.
